Our Story
Spanning more than 45 years, the story of Ecostar begins in 1979 over in the UK, where two enterprising business partners started out installing double glazed windows and doors, which they then began manufacturing into the 1980s, leading to their very own purpose-built factory.
The business grew more and more successful through the 1990s, and with the new millennium, they relocated to a new factory more than three times the size. With uPVC double glazed windows revolutionising the home improvement market in the UK, it was only a matter of time before the business made its way to Australia.
In 2011, we here at Ecostar commenced trading, bringing top quality, UK-made uPVC windows to homeowners in Melbourne and surrounding areas. Within a few years of rapid growth, we soon had our first purpose-built premises, firmly making our mark in the window and door renovation market.

Our Process
The way we work at Ecostar is how we ensure the highest standards throughout the process, from manufacture to installation. It all starts, of course, with you. When you make your enquiry, we’ll talk with you over the phone to number what you need and discuss the options we have available to create your dream home with our uPVC windows and doors.
From there, we’ll arrange an at-home design consultation. A member of our friendly team will visit your property and meet you (and, if appropriate, your partner or other family members) to understand how we can help. We’ll have samples on-hand and in-depth brochures and specifications. Over the course of up to 2 hours, we’ll make sure you’re fully equipped with the options you need to make an informed decision – and completely happy with Ecostar.
Once everything is measured up and confirmed, we’ll get your windows and doors manufactured. As you know, this happens at our UK factory, where everything is created bespoke to your specifications. Because we’re so involved in the process, we’re fully committed to making sure you get exactly the right products for us to then expertly install.
We know this process might be different from some other companies you’ve seen, who may have stock, standard windows and doors. They might suggest cost-cutting measures that will affect quality and performance. They may give a standard price over the phone, because they don’t consider it important to meet with you, measure up and get accurate numbers.
