About the Charity
Founded by Kelly Warren, Bk 2 Basics Melbourne is a small yet impactful organisation driven by a passionate team of volunteers from the local community. Along with corporate supporters and generous suppliers, they work tirelessly to provide essential food items to individuals and families in need.
Kelly, her husband Craig, and their caring daughters lead the charge, embodying a commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to basic necessities, regardless of their financial situation. Their mission is simple yet profound: to help people live with dignity and love.
The Community Pantry
One of the core initiatives of Bk 2 Basics is their Community Pantry. Ths relies on partnerships with local businesses to provide fresh produce, canned goods, bread, school lunch items, treats for kids, water, and other essential items. This pantry is a lifeline for struggling families, ensuring they can keep food on the table and enjoy healthy meals.
Anyone in need can access the pantry, which offers a wide variety of food items. Appointments are required to visit the pantry, and visitors must hold a valid Bk 2 Basics Membership. Memberships can be easily arranged via their Facebook page.
How We’re Helping
Throughout October, Ecostar will donate $150 for every sale to support Bk 2 Basics Melbourne. This contribution will help them continue their vital work in the community, ensuring that more families have access to the basic necessities they deserve.
